- Written in Moravia in 1566. From there, the codex likely travelled in continuous Hutterite possession to Transylvania, then to Ukraine, before coming to South Dakota in the 1870s. Owned in 1930 by members of the Rockport Bruderhof in South Dakota, where seen by Eberhard Arnold. Subsequently rebound. Owned by members of a Lehrerleut Hutterian Brethren colony in Montana. Acquired by Goshen College by 1958.1
