The Wanamaker Collection, 1908-1921 is a collection of images and documents taken of Native American Peoples during the first decades of the 1900s. Joseph K. Dixon, under the sponsorship of John and Rodman Wanamaker of Philadelphia, took three western expeditions that produced more than 8,000 images. Dixon later documented Native participation in World War I through photographs of the veterans and individual questionnaires.
