Abstract
  • Indiana University South Bend students in the Northside Hall courtyard in 1972. The limestone Indiana University Center opened in September, 1961, and featured an 800-seat auditorium with a fully equipped stage and large dressing rooms. It was officially retitled Northside Hall in 1966. The concrete-faced five-story addition known as Northside West (seen left here) was built in 1970 to 1972 to add classroom, laboratory, library and office space, as well as a 300-seat performance space for music and theater productions and large lecture classes.
