- Flemming's caption typed on reverse side of image reads, in full: "Inside Valhalla, a superb memorial hall. By following around the wall as the visitors are doing one gets a chronological story of German heroes, each represented by a marble bust. Note the staunch figures above that seem to support the ceiling -- that's the Valkyrie of the Gods. It is believed that the souls of German soldiers who died for their country come to rest here. Near Regensburg, Ger -- 22 July 45."
