Caption
  • October 26, 1950, Mr. Roy Howard, 230 Park Avenue, New York, N.Y., Dear Roy: For nearly twenty-five years your autographed photograph has been in my office, the inscription being one that you may have forgotten but which has meant a very great deal to me now for all these years, the acquaintance going back to a half century. I happened to meet Dr. Gainza Paz socially and invited him here for lunch but hasten to tell you that it had nothing whatever to do with business. There was no solicitation nor will there be. Because we both have a real regard for you we thought it would be a cute thing to pose in front of your picture and see that you got a copy, which is enclosed herewith, by way of reassurance. It's been a long, long time, Roy since those illustrious days of the First World War when you and I were more or less in the making. I recounted them to Dr. Gainza Paz. If you have forgotten them, perhaps I'd better sometime sit down and recount them to you. With affectionate regards, Sincerely yours, [signed] Kent
