- Flemming's caption typed on reverse side of image reads, in full: "This eagle and swastika once topped a flag pole in front of Valhalla. Allied bombers put an end to any show about the place, for it instead was concealed under camouflage nets to prevent airmen using it as a focal point to guide them onto the Messerschmidt factory east of the city. Infantrymen later downed the flagpoles. Near Regensburg, Ger -- 22 July 45."
