  • Trading his leather threads and pearl-handled gun for African attire and fighting-stick, Shaft (RICHARD ROUNDTREE) strolls through an African village on his mission to infiltrate an international slave trading ring. "Shaft in Africa" again stars Richard Roundtree as the tough New York private eye, John Shaft, who has now been enlisted by African diplomats to crush an international slave trading ring. Produced by Roger Lewis and directed by John Guillermin, from a screenplay by Stirling Silliphant, the film also stars Frank Finlay, Vonetta McGee and Neda Arneric. Filmed in Panaviisioin and Metrocolor on locations in Ethiopia, Spain and New York.
