After crossing the moat, the enemies of yore would next have been confronted by the great wall, this being the only way thru. The outer door is of overlapping pieces of steel like a suit of armor. Between this and the tunnel's end 3 or 4 gates hang suspended from above ready to drop when needed. Coburg, Ger -- 7 July 45"
