  • Physical type: Codex. Support material: Parchment. Extent: ii + 1 + 151 + ii. Collation: Collation uncertain due to tight binding and use of glue by modern binder, multiple leaves with decorated borders removed. Foliation - Pagination: Modern foliation in pencil in the upper right hand corner of recto. Foliation is off by two, as it does not include opening two folios in its count. Catchwords: Fol. 119v includes partial catchword, most trimmed away. Bound dimensions (in mm): 165 x 130 x 50. Page dimensions (in mm): 157 x 118. Written area (in mm): 86 x 60. Script: Gothic. Script type: Quadrata. Layout: One column, ruled in light red ink for twelve lines. Decoration: Three-quarters illuminated rinceaux border (fol. 37r), with red, blue, and green foliation and floral pattern. Three-line illuminated initial with blue, red, and white (fol. 37r). Offsets (61v, 64r, 66r, 70r) suggest that additional illuminated borders were removed sometime before its most recent binding. Two-line pen-flourished initials in red and blue. Alternating red and blue one-line initials. Bar line-fillers in red and blue with white and gold accents. Capitals heightened with yellow wash. Rubrication. Binding: Modern blind-tooled calf over boards, edges gilt and gauffered. Embossed stamp of modern binder on first front flylead, reading: W. Jamouneau Bookbinder & Stationer, 5 Mill Street, Guernsey.
