“[T]he Republican party is attracting today’s college youth by demonstrating that it is the ‘young’ party with ‘young’ ideas,” asserts a page-one article in Future, a publication of Young Republicans of Indiana University South Bend. This issue reports that the IUSB College Republican Club received a charter from the Indiana Republican Party on September 28, 1968. Officers and committee heads of the club (alternately referred to as the IUSB College Young Republican Club) are identified as being collectively responsible for “newspaper reporting.” The IU South Bend Archives holds only this first issue of Future.
