This collection contains digitized issues of the Indiana Daily Student, the student newspaper that launched on the Indiana University Bloomington campus in 1867; also included are substantive inserts included when the papers were distributed. Over the years, the paper has been printed at varying frequency and under several titles besides the Indiana Daily Student (or IDS), including the Indiana Student, The Student, the Daily Student, as well as the Indiana Summer Student published during the summers of 1922 and 1923. Due to financial difficulties, the paper went out of print for nearly ten years in the late 19th century, 1874-1882. While it will still have an online presence at http://www.idsnews.com, beginning spring 2025, except for special editions, the print issue will cease.
