The Indiana University South Bend Archives and Special Collections is the campus repository for papers, photographs, recordings, and memorabilia that document the history of IU South Bend as well as provide a glimpse into the history of the greater Michiana area. Image collections held by the IU South Bend Archives include the Richard Feingold Photograph Collection, which chronicles campus life from the late 1960s to the early 1980s; a comprehensive IU South Bend Photograph Collection, which includes photographs and negatives showing people, events and campus buildings from the 1940s to the present; and the collections of the Civil Rights Heritage Center, which document the civil rights history of Northern Indiana and Michiana.
