Abstract
  • Programs in Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting were introduced at the university in 1969, under the supervision of the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis. Students earned a one-year certificate in the Dental Hygiene program and a two-year associate degree in the Dental Assisting program. Both programs were successful upon introduction and often reached enrollment limits. (Adapted from Furlong and Vander Ven, "A Campus Becoming")
